How Much Fabric Do You Need?

To determine the length of fabric you’ll need, double the height of your ceiling or structure where you plan to hang the silks, and add two meters. For example, if your ceiling is 5 meters high, you’ll need 12 meters of aerial silk.

For performance drops, a minimum of 14 meters is recommended to allow for hanging from a 6-meter height.

Please note: The listed size is the total length of the silk. Since aerial silks are rigged from the center, the usable length is slightly less than half the total.

Our fabrics are rigorously tested by an external team and can withstand a static load exceeding 1000 kg.

Important Note: While this fabric’s non-slip texture and durability make it ideal for aerial acrobatics and children’s hammocks, its medium stretch is not suitable for adult aerial yoga hammocks. If you need fabric for an adult aerial yoga hammock, please see our Aerial Silks for Hammocks section. These silks have very low stretch and are 2.5 meters wide.

Regularly inspect your silks for signs of wear and tear, paying particular attention to the areas where they connect to the figure eight or beam. Proper installation minimizes pressure on the fabric, extending its lifespan.

For optimal performance and safety, use a large horned figure eight or our Pro Kit when hanging the silks. These distribute tension more evenly and reduce friction.

Never hang the fabric directly on a hook or carabiner.

We recommend using the figure eight with horns or our Pro Kit for classes, regular use, and drops. Regularly inspect the material for tears, regardless.

We cannot replace used materials that are damaged. Many factors, including certain drops and improper installation, can damage the fabric even if it’s high quality.

Remember, no installation method is foolproof. Regularly check your silks and replace them if damaged, just like any other equipment used for climbing or working at heights.

Installation Tips:

When hanging from a ceiling (without an exposed beam), you’ll likely need a climbing eight, a carabiner (or our aerial silk kit that includes both), and a securely installed hook in the ceiling. Ensure the hook and screws are suitable for your ceiling type, and avoid using screws for installation.

Always have a qualified person install your aerial silks. They should be mounted on the building’s support structure, never on a false ceiling.

Protect the fabric by placing a towel between it and the beam if hanging directly from a beam.

Avoid prolonged sun exposure as it can weaken the material.

SHIPMENT

The phone number must be a local number (same as the country of destination) otherwise the courier will not be able to contact you if needed at the delivery the package. All contact details and delivery address must be correct. The address has to be accessible and there must be someone to receive the parcel during the business hours. Otherwise we will not be responsible for any delays or losses that may occur.

If the package get lost for incorrect/incomplete informations, we do not guarantee the refund of its value. If there are not always people at home, we recommend sending it to another address (for example a store or office) where there are always people to receive it. If there is an error in the destinations mentioned above, we will not be responsible for the costs of the possible resend, and if the package is lost, the money of the product will not be refunded.

Shipments to the Canary Islands must be paid by paying the “Shipping to the Canary Islands” section at checkout. Shipments to the Canary Islands that have been paid as a flat rate to the Spain mainland could be canceled.

If you are placing an order from an island far away from the mainland country, please consult us before placing the order. Orders that are placed from remote islands and territories belonging to European countries could be canceled. In any case we will contact the customer before doing it.

For orders from countries outside the European Common Market we need an identity document number, tax identification or passport, because we must send the package with the proforma invoice (mandatory).

We are not responsible for taxes or extra costs that might be charged by customs of non EU countries.  We won’t be able to refund the shipping cost if the package is returned, due to lack of documentation or if duties have not been paid. If the package comes back to us, we have to pay the return shipping and the duties too. Those costs will be deduced from the amount you have paid for your order.

It is not guaranteed that the address can be changed if the package is already shipped; depending on the courier company, modify the address may have an additional cost or it may not be possible.  If your package has not arrived at the expected date, do not hesitate to contact us immediately so that we can check and make a reclamation for it..

Shipment to PO boxes is not accepted. For the shipping to post offices or collection points you have to contact us before making the order because this is not always possible.

In rare cases, the estimated delivery time may not be respected by the shipping company; for this reason we cannot be held responsible for delays. But we will do our best to fix it as soon as possible.

Contact us if you’re in a rush and we’ll do our best to ship it quickly. Beyond all the regulations, it must say that most shipments go smoothly and arrive earlier than expected. 

We track the packages delivered, but if you have not received the package, contact us within 15 business days of placing the order, since later, the transport agencies can leave the packages in warehouses where they can no longer be recovered.

Aerial Living reserves the right to cancel orders or update shipping costs. Although always guaranteeing the total refund of the order in case of disagreement with the client regarding the shipment.

PAYMENT METHODS

Cash on delivery payments are only possible for orders made from Spain mainland, if you place your order from the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, or another country, your order will be automatically canceled. We may contact you to let you know in this case.

Cash on delivery method of payment is only possible for orders with a value equal to or less than 130 euros and it must be paid in cash at the delivery.

If you choose to pay by bank transfer and you want to change the payment method, please just make a new order and change the method of payment. 

If you pay by bank transfer it is very important that you put the order number on the concept, so that we can find it.

Payments by Bizum will be made at +34 640540559.

For refunds outside UE when the original payment was made by bank transfer we will only refund via Paypal or if we do by bank transfer we will not conver the transaction fees and cost of the bank. If the payment was by credit card we will refund it to the credit card.

RETURN and REFUND

We do our best to serve our customers the best that we can. We will refund the money if you return the items for any reason, but the return will only be the cost of the product, not the shipping, except for factory faults or our errors.

Once you receive the package, open it carefully and check the condition of the material, as returns are not allowed once the item has been used even though there are defects that appear to be from the factory; Therefore, we recommend that the client review the material immediately after receiving it and before use.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to open the package with caution since it is possible to damage the fabric when opening it with a cutter or scissors, such cuts will not be considered factory defects and the money for the material or shipping will not be refunded. Therefore, the return of the material must include the packaging (bag or backpack) and the original shipping bag. Without these, we do not guarantee the refund, exchange, or substitution of the product in case of fabrics with cuts or similar failures due to incorrect opening.

If you change your mind, and do not want the product once the order has been placed and it has already been shipped, please contact us to arrange a collection or send the package by your own means, but we recommend not rejecting the package at the time of delivery if the box is not damaged. If at the time of delivery at home the recipient rejects the package, the money back is not guaranteed. And even in case of returning to origin, the return will be only partial since the courier company charges both the outbound and the return shipping.

If the box is damaged by the shipping company DON’T ACCEPT IT and communicate with us and the shipping company. We don’t guarantee the return or substitution if the material is damaged by the courier and you accept the package. If the product is damaged by the client while opening the box or bag we can not substitute it or refund the money.

You have 30 natural days from the order date to return the product and the items returned must be in their original and unused conditions. This means that can not smell different (smell of dirt, perfumes) or present hairs or others signals of having been used or washed. If the product was returned and does not respect the conditions, the refund of the money is not guaranteed, nor are shipping costs.

If the return is arranged by the customer, and the items are damaged or lost, the buyer will be responsible for such damage or loss and we will not be able to refund them. For lost packages, the Buyer must file a claim with the shipping company to recover the cost of the damage or loss of the package. We recommend sending returns with tracking.

The tones of the fabrics are the most accurate possible, however each tone can be seen slightly different depending on the device in which it is viewed and the level of brightness it has.

We recommend watching the videos where you can see the colors in more detail and if you have doubts about the tone you can consult us or watch them on a different device. We do not cover shipping costs in case of changes or returns due to tonal differences, although we are responsible for shipments if we have sent a different color than the order you made.

We tested the fabric for traction and plastic performance, but once is used it can not be returned.

An incorrect ringing can damage the fabric but also some drops and moves can bur the fabric creating holes, be aware of those movements, Aerial Living will not change material or refund material that was damage by using it.  Even if the material is high quality, a burn will always damage the fabric.

Fabrics should be checked periodically for weakening and holes. At the time of inspection, check especially at the junction with the eight or beam where they are installed, as this is where the fabrics can suffer the most.
By installing the fabrics and accessories correctly, the chances of damaging the fabric are minimized, since the pressure on the fabric is distributed over a larger surface area.
By placing the fabric correctly on the large horned figure eight, the pressure is better distributed and the risk of friction is reduced. Compared to the simple eight, there is a larger contact surface and less risk of damaging the material.
For this reason, the fabric should never be hung directly to a hook or carabiner.

For classes and regular use with drops performances we recommend using the eight with horns correctly positioned or our Pro Kit, as it distributes the tensions better. Even so, the material should be checked periodically for possible tears.

We do not change the material for damage once it has been used, as there can be many factors that can damage a fabric, even if it is used correctly.

For example, certain drops can increase the risk of damage to the fabric, regardless of its resistance (which is tested regularly), but by friction that raises the temperature of the fabric.

Also the way the accessories are installed can affect the integrity of the fabrics.
However, no installation method guarantees 100 x 100 its integrity, so the material must be checked periodically and changed if there is any damage, just like any other material used for work at height or climbing.

Aerial Living is not responsible for human (of the buyer or another person) or material damage,  even if the accident occurs using correctly the material.

MAINTENANCE and SECURITY

Before any use of the material, you must check the condition of the material and that the knots are correct and secure.

Always check that fabric knots, ropes, slings and height adjusters are in good condition. Especially if you have washed the fabric or used it for a long time, the knots can move becoming unsafe.

Frequently check the areas where the fabric is under more pressure (by the eight, carabiners, or knots), check for holes or weakened or deformed areas. If there is something like that, DO NOT use it.

Avoid climbing on the fabric with rings, pendants, jewellery of any kind, long nails or clothing that could damage the fabric.

When you hang it anywhere, be aware that the fabric can be damaged if it is close to strong light sources. In theatres there is the additional possibility of frayed cables, snagging or some other equipment. Check that there is no type of friction in the material with firm structures.

Make sure the fabric is not exposed to the sun for long periods of time so that it does not lose its color and properties.

Install it in structures that are firm and resist 10 times the weight of the practitioner.

Washing

Wash fabrics or swings by hand or in a washing machine with cold water. Do not tumble dry. Use a liquid detergent, and to eliminate the smell, just baking soda. Remove carabiners and other accessories before washing fabrics and swings.

Do not use other stain removers or fabric softeners! they can alter the physical properties of the material.

Use the gentle wash cycle. An additional rinse cycle is recommended to remove soap residue. Do not wash other items together with your fabrics or swings and do not wash fabrics of different colours at the same time.
Is customer’s responsibility to check the condition of the material before each use.

BILLS

If you need an invoice, put the billing information in the form with the tax identification number (for example NIF, CIF, VAT)

If you have not placed it in the order, you must request your invoice by mail within a period of 30 calendar days from when the purchase was made, because the invoices are correlative. If you order it after the order, the invoice date may be later than the date the order was placed.

RESPONSIBILITY

Aerial Living is not responsible for accidents that may occur using the fabric or swing, whatever the cause. Therefore it is very important to verify the material and practice following instructions from trained professionals in safe facilities.

If you accept these terms and conditions, you fully assume responsibility for any accident that may occur even to third parties.

Keep in mind that the durability of the material varies depending on the intensity of use, sun exposure, exposure to chemical agents and friction.
